Jamoncillo is a type of Dulce de Leche (Milk Candy) made from cow’s milk, sugar and other ingredients customary to the origin of the recipe. Jamoncillo has a light brown coloring and usually its flavor is mixed with pecans or other dried fruits.

This confectionery delicacy has been traditionally made in the northern part of Mexico in the areas of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Jalisco and Guanajuato.
